    January 2026: New Peer-to-Peer Course

    NAMI Contra Costa Presents A New Peer-to-Peer Course Starting in January of 2026.

    NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a Recovery Education Program and is a free, 8-week course for adults living with mental illness.

    We plan to hold Peer-to-Peer for peers affected by or living with mental illness who are beginning the recovery process to manage their mental health condition/symptoms. The course period will run between January 20 through March 10 of 2026.

    Class Details

    The upcoming course will be held in person from 5:30 PM to 7 PM beginning Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Classes will be held once a week for 8 weeks on Tuesdays at the West County Peer Connection Center, 2101 Vale Rd, Suite 300 San Pablo, CA 94806. Dates include January 20, 27; February 3, 10, 17, 24; March 3,
    10, 2026.

    You will receive your workbook on the first day of class. On the last day you will receive your certificates. We are on this recovery journey together!

    How to Register and Facilitator Information

    Reservations are required to obtain a seat in the class, and we have already started the Wait List for this course. Peer Coordinator Ashley Ciullo can reserve a seat in the class for you by sending her an email at ashley@namicontracosta.org with your demographics.

This in person group experience provides the opportunity for mutual support and positive impact. You can experience compassion and reinforcement from people who relate to your experiences.

    Person a Persona es un programa de educación de 8 sesiones para personas adultas que viven con una enfermedad mental o trastorno psiquiátrico. Este curso está para ayudar a participantes mejorar su entendimiento de su condición y su camino a recuperación. Algunos temas de la clase incluyen: creando un plan de prevención de recaída, como interactuar con profesionales medicos, y entendiendo el efecto de sus síntomas en su vida.     Class Details

    Classes meet once a week for 8 weeks.

    The upcoming class will be held in person from 6 PM to 8 PM beginning Tuesday, January 7, 2025, once a week for 8 weeks at the Peer Connection Center, located at 3711 Lonetree Way, Antioch, CA 94509. Dates include January 7, 14, 21, 28, & February 4, 11, 18, 25, 2025.

    Reservations are required to obtain a seat in the class.

    We have a plan to hold Peer to Peer in the upcoming summer season for peers affected by or living with mental illness who are beginning the recovery process to manage their mental health condition/symptoms.

    Class Details

    Classes meet once a week for 8 weeks.

    The upcoming class will be held at the NAMI Contra Costa office (2151 Salvio Street, Suite V in Concord) from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Wednesdays beginning May 8, 2024. Dates include May 8, 15, 22 and 29, and June 5, 12, 19 and 26. Reservations are required to obtain a seat in the class.
