Together Against Mental Health Stigma Event Volunteer Opportunities

Dear Community Partners, Family Members, Friends and Allies,

We are pleased to invite you to the “Together Against Mental Health Stigma” Community Resource Fair, a collaborative event hosted in partnership between NAMI Contra Costa County and Mental Health Connections.

This community gathering is dedicated to raising awareness, reducing stigma, and connecting individuals with valuable mental health resources and support services. We invite you to be part of this meaningful day of community, education, and support.

This family-friendly, mental health awareness, stigma reduction event will include a light stroll for health, live music, complimentary meal and snacks, Guest speakers, interactive vendors/booths, arts and crafts, outdoor games, and announcing 2026 Mental Health Change Agent Appreciation Awardees and a dove release in memory of our loved ones gone too soon. Community partners will join us in sharing behavioral health wellness resources which will include information about the various county programs and how they support those impacted by mental/behavioral Illness.

Please see the event flyer for additional details, including the annual Change Agent Appreciation Awards ceremony to be nominated, announced, and awarded for May Mental Health Awareness Month. We hope you will join us as we come together to support mental health awareness and strengthen our community. Of course, we’ll have a Photo Booth too!

and we will need volunteers to help with the event!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Volunteer shifts are available in two or four-hour increments for various tasks that ensure the event runs smoothly and positively.
